 Are you bored at home all time? Why don't you visit Elazığ? It is a city in eastern Türkiye. We used to live there. Now I am so far from Elazığ and missed little. If you are visiting there, this blog will help you to make a plan.

Harput

Elazığ was not in its current center before. Harput used to be the first settlement site for ancient people. It was difficult for the enemies to come because it was a mountainous area. People started to build houses in the flat area over time. That flat area became today's Elazığ now. The zone where the ancient people lived is now a tourist attraction in Elazığ. There is a big castle on the mountain, ancient workshops, picnic places, souvenir shops, old houses, an observation terrace, mosques, museums, and more. Harput's name comes from har(stone) and put(castle), so it means Stone Castle in today's Turkish. Harput really is a living history.

Karaleylek Canyon

Karaleylek Canyon is located in Baskil, Elazig, by the Euphrates River. The naturally beautiful caves and rocks in the canyon are summer destinations for nearly extinct black storks. Although the cave had formed naturally thanks to the waters, the stairs in some of the rocks show that people also lived here. The most famous cave in the canyon is the Tepesidelik Cave. There is a natural bridge and fresh water inside the cave.

Eğri Minareli Cami(Leaning Minaret Mosque)

You have probably heard how curved Pisa is. You might even consider it the most leaning structure. This means you have never heard of Eğri Minareli Cami before. It is also called Harput Grand Mosque, and you know where Harput is. It was built by the Artuqid ruler Kara Arslan. It is still open for praying.

Örnek Lokantası(Örnek Restaurant)

You will get hungry after visiting so many historical places, then let's go to Örnek Restaurant. It is one of my favorite eating places in Elazığ and it has moderate prices. You should eat their meat dishes at least once.

Gürbüzler Kuruyemiş(Gürbüzler Dried Nuts)

After having a good meal, you need a treat for yourself to visit all around the corner of Elazığ. It is the right choice to buy sweets and nuts. Gürbüzler is known for its best quality and diverse baklavas and Elazığ's famous almond candies. It was close to both my old school and Bilsem, we had done a lot of shopping there.

Sharpie Unboxing and My RIP Nose

      Hello, I am so excited today, because my markers came! I have been waiting for them for a week. And finally, they are in my hands. Actually, they came three days ago but I waited and didn't open them for this blog. Today, finally I will open my package and show it to you. Aunties' Short Visit

My little aunt and her family also lives in Eskişehir. They and my other aunt came our house tonight. Ofcourse not for our new house, because of my eldest cousin Aleyna's university checks and dorm entering. First they came and had breakfast at our home, then they left for university. My big aunt, Nilgün, stayed with us and helped us to settle down. My aunt helped us a lot, she cleaned the windows and floor, put things back in their place, even hung the curtains.
